Africa benefitting from a mediterranean climate all year round
of between 18deg winter to 24deg summer with very little rain.
Though each island is formed around the tip of a volcanoe, each
one is dramatically different in its landscape from its neighbours.

the main islands have their own airports and you can fly direct
from most European cities. In the Canaries there is a local
bus service, known as Guaguas. This is unreliable at
best and dissappointing in its number of runs. Taxis can work
out expensive so by far the best way of travelling arund is
with your own car. All the main hire companies can be found
on the islands though it is well worth booking in advance for
peace of mind if you intend travelling around. |
